Hanoi

Last night in Hanooooi! Wow, a week went by so fast. Didn’t expect that I would love this trip this much.

A pleasant surprise was the Ninh Binh leg of our trip. Super thankful to Chris for pitching the idea. So funny that I’d been sitting on Ninh Binh for a while now!!! OMG, thank goodness Chris mentioned it on their last day in GenSan.

Ninh Binh was laid back, rural, slow… It made me realize that I’m a small town girl, not a big city gal. Loved the steady, calm pace of Ninh Binh. Prices were much more friendly versus Hanoi. And the views! Oh my gosh the views!!! Left me totally breathless for a million times while we were there. Will definitely go back.

Hanoi is your usual busy metro. Stayed in the Old Quarter where pretty much everything is within reach. Food wasn’t exactly outstanding except for the small resto serving fried noodles near our Airbnb. Bia was more expensive. Food was x3 the price of Ninh Binh’s offerings. Boo.

Good thing is, our Airbnb was awesomeee. Loved the porch, the giant window where I get to work by and watch people go about their daily lives.

Also very thankful that I was not so busy with work this time. I appreciate the time to slow down, be present, and actually have fun.

It’s always a grand time when I’m with my favorite travel buddy, my husband. ❤️

This is a random note just recognizing this pleasant surprise.

I’m currently 35, married with a dog named Sola, living in a small beautiful home in GenSan. Sick to my stomach, literally though. 🤒 

I’ve just finished watching an episode of The Kardashians, hubby’s just pulled up the driveway. It’s just been a downer couple of days because of my stomach ache. Needed those days to recover from all the holiday frenzy.

Back to work tomorrow and I’m juggling it with preparing for our Hanoi trip. Lol
